Tech Grads at Whitbread

Our famous purple bedrooms are created with care and attention and at the heart of this are our housekeeping teams in Premier Inn and hub by Premier Inn. And their fantastic leaders. Forming a winning partnership with the hotel management team to make sure all aspects of the hotel are super-clean, tidy, safe and brilliant. So our guests feel at home throughout their stay. That's why we’ll make you feel at home, too. In a team that’s always there for each other, with time for a bit of a laugh as you get the job done.

What we do

We live in a digital world. You've probably noticed. That means what we do is pretty important right now, and will be for years to come. But, what do we actually do?

Well, we create and develop the digital, customer-facing user-faces that drive Whitbread's business. We analyse data and communicate with our customers, to make sure our sites are user friendly, all while writing the copy, designing the look and building sites, apps and more.

Issue
The weekly customer email programme is the backbone of Premier Inn's marketing. A weakness in the process can impact on timings and the quality of the output which, in turn, could potentially undermine results (hotel bookings). So, implementing an efficient design working process was vital.

Insight
Over a series of weeks, every part of the process was recorded and mapped - from the initial briefing right through to concept and design development. Extensive data gathering enabled us to highlight inefficient working practices.

Idea
The information helped us to refine our approach leading to the development of a new, speedier workflow system for email activity. At the same time, a broad suite of design templates incorporating responsive modules was created to speed up the process even further still.

Impact
The new process has feed up time to concentrate on concept development without compromising on turnaround.

By creating a new suite of online business tools, we helped out business customers save time and money. Business Booker means less time booking, more time doing your job brilliantly, so you can save your company time and earn yourself a little extra kudos too.

Just like in our hotels, our customers’ experience must be great online. Our UX team ensures that this is the case, always working with pixel-perfect precision.

Creative

Creatives, copywriters, designers and strategists make up this team. It’s a close-knit group that creates compelling work that’s easy on the eye. So, if creativity is your thing, working with us could well kick off a digital career in a company that engages with millions each month.
