Whether it’s our customers or our teams, our company is all about people. Diversity is all about bringing people together with different thoughts, backgrounds, perceptions and beliefs. Inclusion is the culture that values and encourages making a difference. Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) is a commitment under our Force for Good strategy and we are committed to being for everyone, championing inclusivity across the organisation and improving diversity.

Thrive
As part of our Force for Good initiative, we are proud to have the Thrive programme which supports young people with Special Educational Needs into employment. Our programme originally began as a partnership with two colleges: Derwen College in Oswestry, Shropshire, and Hereward College in Coventry.
The newly branded partnership allows us to explore partnerships with the SEN colleges that offer vocational training and the development of social and living skills of young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
Both colleges specialise in working with young people with disabilities and provide inspirational learning, development and care, to help the students achieve their aspirations and transform their lives. Alongside our construction partners, we have built a mini fully functioning Premier Inn at each college. Each mini Premier Inn has three bedrooms, a laundry room and a reception area, to allow students to gain real experience in a safe, simulated space during their course. This is all with the goal of supporting paid employment on the students’ graduation from college.
